While in Samoa, I helped out on a campaign for the Fred Hollows Foundation in Savaii. The foundation is a charity set up that provides eye surgeries in third world countries. I helped mainly with filming, but also helped the NZ based team with navigating the cultural barriers. The footage was used by several news channels as well as being used on the foundations website.
I did offline and online editing for 3 Childfund NZ campaigns made by Phil Prendeville from Umbrella Films. The campaigns ran over the span of two years and were played on 5 different networks in New Zealand.
I worked as a DI on an Australian film called “Cedar Boys” at Fox Studios in Sydney. I worked with Warren Lynch and his company, “Intercolour Films”. This was one of the first “digital features” shot on the new Red4K cameras. I managed to come in part through the DI process and streamline the workflow so I got 5 weeks of work done in 4 days.
